Tingle is recurring character in the The Legend of Zelda series. He has many different incarnations through out the series. Tingle is 35 years old and completely obsessed about "forests fairies", with him wanting to find fairies and eventually becoming one. Along the way working with maps.
Appearance[]
Tingle is a pudgy middle-aged man with pale skin, dark brown hair and brown eyes. He has a pointy goatee, rosy pink cheeks, a bright orange nose and a mole on the left side of his chin. Though his appearance may confuse some, he is actually a human with a normally shaped head contrast to what his costume may portray. He has round ears, a bowl haircut and a hairy chest.
As for his attire, Tingle wears a tight green suit with a pointed hood and ears. He also wears green boots that grant Tingle immunity to fall damage, red trunks with a brown belt with a grey buckle, a necklace with a blue watch that is permanently. stuck at 4 O'clock. His suit also has a yellow cobra on the back of it, it's purpose is to scare off anybody who tries to threat Tingle.
Background[]
Not much is known about his childhood, but in Majora's Mask, an old family photo on his father's counter in the Swamp Tourist Center, which shows him as a child holding a balloon in one hand and holding his father's hand in the other. He is seen wearing the same suit he is seen wearing as an adult.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Magic: Tingle is able to make things appear magically, such as confetti.
Equipment[]
- Balloon: Tingle (In his Majora's Mask incarnation) is able to pull out a large red balloon that is able to let him float in the sky. Allowing him to look down below onto the land and draw it.
- Paper and Pen: Tingle (In his Majora's Mask incarnation) uses a pen and paper to make his maps.
- Tingle Tuner: The player can use this to call for Tingle's assistance.
- Tingle Bottle: An item Tingle gives you in The Legend of Zelda: The WInd Waker HD that allows you make messages and drawings and send them out on the ocean.

- Tingle (At least in his Majora's Mask incarnation) is able to survive a lengthy fall from the sky when his balloon is popped.

- (In his Wind Waker incarnation) Can travel to his own island in a matter of mere seconds.
- (In his Wind Waker incarnation) Can spin around at an incredible speed.
Skills[]
- Both in his Wind Waker and Majora's Mask form, he is an expert on working with maps. Though in his Majora's Mask incarnation, he is shown to be better at drawing than in his Wind Waker incarnation. Whereas in The Wind Waker, Tingle doesn't make maps, but instead decipher and charts maps that need to have Tingle's work done on them.
Fun Facts[]
- Tingle in his Wind Waker incarnation bears a resemblance to The Legend of Zelda composer Koji Kondo.
- Tingle is hated and disliked in America but is beloved and adored in Japan and some parts of Europe.
- In the original Majoras Mask for Nintendo 64 and artwork for Oracle of Ages, he had blue eyes. But in The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D, Hyrule Hystoria, and Hyrule Warriors, he has brown eyes.
