Powers and Abilities[]
- Pac-Pellet: Pellets are small yellow dots that PAC-MAN eats, in his classic arcade game PAC-MAN eats 240 pellets in 1 level, that means starting at level 1 all the way to level 255 PAC-MAN ate about 61200 pellets, but if you also count level 256 with the level in half thanks to the 256 glitch PAC-MAN ate 61320 Pellets, he can also collect pellets to use as weapons, in the Ps1 game PAC-MAN WORLD (and the remake PAC-MAN WORLD Re-PAC) PAC-MAN can collect pellets and throw or spike them at enemies, PAC-MAN can also do a bomb dot throw, when he combines 10 or 3 pellets he will throw a bomb dot that will explode on impact!
- Power Pellet: Power Pellets are PAC-MAN's main power-up while fighting ghosts and monsters, they are larger versions of the pellets PAC-MAN eats. Eating one of these gives him the ability to temporarily eat ghosts and Spectral Monsters (and sometimes monsters), he is also invincible in his form. in "PAC-MAN WORLD Re-PAC" he turns into Mega PAC-MAN, which is a giant form of his mania self (it is shown he can grow bigger in the final act of the TOC-MAN Boss Battle).
- Super Pellet: Super pellets are giant green pellets that appeared the arcade game "Super PAC-MAN", if PAC-MAN eats one of these he will transform into Super PAC-MAN, he will be much larger, and he can fly over ghosts, (he can also eat them in PAC-MAN 2: the new adventures) in the intermissions he is shown that he can grow giant to squish the ghosts, and turn him self into 32 smaller PAC-MEN.
- Champion Pellet: Champion Pellets are Large Bright Orange-Colored Pellet. these pellets appear at each end of a Giant Ghost boss in PAC-MAN Championship edition 2, When PAC-MAN eats one he will leave the maze and appear in front of the enemy, he will be powerful enough to ram into the giant ghost and smash it to pieces in 1 hit, PAC-MAN clones will also appear, being up to 20 of them. Then at quick speeds they will devour the foe until there's nothing left, no matter how big or how long, and they wont stop, leave, or die unless the enemy is no more.
- Rev Roll: Similar to Sonic's Spin Dash, PAC-MAN can charge a fast roll, It can also be used for moving platforms.
- Butt Bounce: Similar to Mario's Ground Pound, PAC-MAN uses this to push large switches down as well as attack enemies. It also gives taller jump height.
- Elemental Power Pellets: These give PAC-MAN new powers he usually isn't able to do in his base form, they also appear less then any of the other pellets, most of them also are elemental.
- Ribbon Loop Power Pellet - Tan-colored pellet. PAC-MAN gains a tan aura, and a trail of tan follows him. If he wraps around an enemy, it will close in on them and kill them.
- Super Stomp Power Pellet - Green-colored pellet. PAC-MAN gains a green aura, and if he does a Butt-Bounce, a green shock-wave spreads out around him, initiating a ripple in the ground.
- Electro-Shock Power Pellet - Blue-colored pellet. PAC-MAN gains a blue aura, and by pressing and holding the "Punch" button, PAC-MAN can shoot electricity out of his hands.
- Chrome Power Pellet - Silver-colored pellet. PAC-MAN gains a metal sheen and briefly becomes invincible against enemies, while he stays bouncy he is more heavier in his metal form, he also can't swim in this form but he can do his moves underwater. this is also the only way you can destroy Silver enemies.
- Shock-Wave Pellet - Small White-colored pellet (with red aura), also known as "Super Bounce Pellet" or "Bomb Pellet". the pellet looks like one of PAC-MAN's normal pellets but there is a huge difference, when PAC-MAN Eats this pellet he can use a butt bounce to activate it and create a shock-wave, PAC-MAN can only use the shock-wave once, this pellet would later be replaced by the Super stomp pellet in world 3.
- Shrink Pellet - Pink-colored pellet, the shrink pellet allows PAC-MAN to shrink down for 4 seconds, it allows him to go through small holes that will end the level early or instead be a shortcut so PAC-MAN can get to the end faster.
- Vortex Pellet - Yellow+Green-Colored Pellet, This Pellet appeared in PAC-MAN WORLD 3, once PAC-MAN eats it, it will create a giant vortex in the center, sucking up the ghosts one by one and keeping them trapped for a while. this allows PAC-MAN extra time to collect pellets. this pellet only appeared in the mazes, but it is thought to do the same on monsters and other enemies.
- Weapons and Gadgets - non power up items, but they also help PAC-MAN Defend himself
- Magic Boots - after returning princess buttercup to fairyland, her mother the Queen Fairy (also known as Mother Fairy), will gift PAC-MAN the magic boots, these look identical to PAC-MAN's boots but they are in a brighter color and they have wings, the magic boots allows PAC-MAN infinite jumps, he can also double jump now, and the double jumps are also infinite.
- The Artifact - The Artifact is an ancient Metal Power Pellet that appeared in PAC-MAN: Adventures In Time, it was used to protect PAC-MAN's Planet from evil, but Inky and Clyde steal it and bring it to a monster named Mollusc that shatters the Artifact. after PROFESSOR PAC sends PAC-MAN back through time to put it back together and find the energy core, PAC-MAN returns to the time right after Mollusc destroyed it, The Artifact uses a Giant Powerful Laser Beam and vaporizes Mollusc, Killing him in one hit.
- Mallet - The Mallet is a wooden hammer PAC-MAN uses on his journey in PAC-IN-TIME, the Mallet can be used to break logs, trees, and rocks. But surprisingly it can also break Boulders, Stone platforms, Cages, and Doors. It can also reflect range attacks from enemies such as shock-waves, and the mallet also will not break when it hits any of these, which means it is a very durable weapon.
- Fire Ball - Fire Balls are also from PAC-IN-TIME, PAC-MAN will shoot them right out of his mouth, and they will quickly travel in a straight line, if it hits an enemy it will burn and destroy it in one hit.
- Bubbles - Since PAC-MAN was blasted back to his youth in PAC-IN-TIME he lost his ability to swim and breath underwater, luckily though for him there is a power up called Bubbles, this power up will make PAC-MAN be able to breath underwater and swim again, however this will not effect enemies.
- Swinging Rope - In PAC-IN-TIME the rope is one of your first weapons in the game, PAC-MAN will latch on to any type of surface (except water) with this rope, it can pull PAC-MAN upward, or lower him down, He can also swing to get a good jump out of it, the rope can not attack or effect enemies just like bubbles.
- Ice Skates - In PAC-MAN WORLD 2's snow levels, the ice skates will help PAC-MAN on his way to ghost island. they will make PAC-MAN slide less and have way better control on ice.
- Flippers - Flippers appear in PAC-MAN WORLD 2's water levels, it will allow PAC-MAN to swim faster underwater, he even can do a underwater spin attack with it.
- Roller Skates - When you get to ghost island in PAC-MAN WORLD 2 you might find the roller skates, the roller skates are hard to stop with, but they will increase PAC-MAN's speed and jump length.
- Anti Gravity Boots - These boots appeared in PAC-MAN: Adventures In Time, they allowed him to walk on walls, but they run out of power when he is on the walls for too long, and after they run out of power PAC-MAN will fall to his death, they recharge once PAC-MAN isn't on walls. But in PAC-MAN Championship Edition 2 multiplayer it is shown he now knows how to walk on walls, making the anti gravity boots useless.
- Magic Pen - in the game PAC-PIX a evil wizard invented ghost ink, which he drew ghosts to take over all the books in the world, PAC-MAN grabs his magic pen and throws all of the ghosts into one giant blank book, PAC-MAN uses his Magic Pen to draw versions of himself to eat the ghosts, the drawings of PAC-MAN go in a straight line until they are out of the book, but PAC-MAN can draw walls to change there directions, PAC-MAN can possibly also draw the PAC-MAN Drawings in the real world.

- Toru Iwatani Created PAC-MAN in 1980, he was only 24 at the time.
- PAC-MAN used to be called PUCK-MAN, but north america distributor Midway changed it so people don't vandalize the name.

- In development of Super Smash Bros Brawl Shigeru Miyamoto Asked Masahiro Sakurai If they could add PAC-MAN as the Second non-Nintendo character in the Smash Bros series, But instead Masahiro Sakurai Thought it was a joke, he said that adding PAC-MAN in his famous 2D form was a bit to far fetched.
- PAC-MAN would later appear in Super Smash Bros 4, but Bandai Namco was requesting that they would use Pacster instead of PAC-MAN, Masahiro Sakurai Denied the request and told them that if they used the design he would drop the character out, and would never make him appear in the smash bros series. So they ditched Pacster and added PAC-MAN, Sakurai said that there might be Pacster alternate skin for PAC-MAN, But then the idea was scrapped and Pacster never got to appear.
- Pac-Man might actually be a multiversal level threat since he defeated Erwin, and Anubis the god of death
