Orisa is a modified OR-15 defense droid built by the child prodigy Efi Oladele. She is a Tank hero in Overwatch.
Background[]
Twenty years after the OR-14 defense droids were scrapped, OR-15s were put into production. These new models were designed to protect civilians from any danger, however, they failed to do so when the villainous Doomfist attacked the Numbani airport and destroyed three of the models.
Efi Oladele, a child prodigy, has been given a generous grant from the Adawe Foundation due to her previous achievements in robotics and artificial intelligence. Efi used some of her money to acquire an OR-15 model robot. Believing Numbani needed a protector, she began working on a machine she'd later call Orisa.
Even though Orisa has a lot to learn, Efi is optimistic about the fact that one day the Omnic will be guardian Numbani deserves.
Powers & Abilities []
- Fortify: Orisa reduces the amount of damage she takes for a few seconds while being immune to action-impairing attacks, such as stuns, slow downs, etc.
Equipment[]
- Fusion Driver: A projectile cannon firing rapidly, but slowing her down during firing. Has 200 shots before needing to be reloaded.
- Halt!: Orisa fires an energy ball that she can detonate, sucking up nearby enemies towards the explosion and stopping their momentum completely.
- Protective Barrier: Orisa fires a small barrier out of her left arm that protects her and her allies before it gets destroyed.
- Supercharger: Orisa puts dow a small device that increases the damage increased by her and her teammates in the Supercharger's line of sight.

Fun Facts[]
- Her name, "Orisa", is based off of the OR-15 models' name, spelled in l33t language and with an added "A" in the end, making it sound more feminine. As intelligent as Efi is, she's not very clever with names.
