Nami is the navigator of the Straw Hat crew and one of the main characters in One Piece.

Background []
Nami is an orphan who, along with Nojiko, was adopted by a sailor named Bell-mère. Nami was then taken to Cocoyashi Village, where she developed a love for drawing maps and navigation and a dream of drawing a complete map of the world. Sometime after this, the Arlong Pirates invaded Cocoyashi Village, where he imposed a tax on every adult and child in the village in order to live. As Bell-mère could not pay her entire family's tuition to live, she was used as an example by Arlong to demonstrate to the townspeople what would happen to them if they went against him or didn't pay the fee, and thus killed the townspeople brutally in front of Nami.
After Bell-mère's death, Nami was then kidnapped and forced to become a cartographer for Arlong after he noticed the quality of her maps at such a young age and thus, in a deal made by both of them, Arlong promised to liberate the village. for a total of 100,000,000 Belly. Nami ended up becoming a thief and thus began stealing money from other pirates to gather the necessary amount to pay Arlong, where, during her trip to Orange Town to steal Buggy's treasures, Nami ended up meeting Luffy and Zoro, where, they formed a temporary partnership until she betrayed them and stole the Going Merry ship to return to Cocoyashi Village.
When Nami gathered the necessary amount, Arlong betrayed her and sent sailors to get her money and, thus, she ended up getting frustrated, where, Luffy helped her by considering her his navigator. After Arlong's defeat, Nami saw Luffy's dedication and thus ended up joining the Straw Hat crew officially as a navigator.

Weapons & Equipment[]
- Clima-Tact (Or Climate Baton): A staff used by Nami that gives her the ability to manipulate the weather in her surroundings. With this weapon, Nami can make Balls of Heat, Balls of Thunder, change the density of the air and create a mirage of herself to create illusions, suck in moisture to make heated air collide with cold air and create a cloud. which throws lightning at the enemy and creates a dense fog to blind the opponent.
- Perfect Clima-Tact: After the Skypiea Arc, her abilities are greatly enhanced, including her Clima-Tact, which is now able to use her old abilities in enhanced ways and create larger lightning bolts that strike enemies multiple times, as well as being able to charge electricity into her weapon.
- Sorcery Clima-Tact: After the Timeskip, Nami's abilities were improved, where she can now create a moving cloud that electrocutes enemies, create a small bubble that easily melts snow with its heat, create paths made of clouds and launch even more powerful lightning against the opponents.
- Zeus: After stealing Zeus from Big Mom, Nami began using Zeus as an enhancement to her powers, where when she feeds him several Black Balls and a Time Egg with a thundercloud inside, causing her to grow to a massive size and , so you can manipulate it with your Clima-Tact to hit the enemy. Nami can also make Zeus hit her target in a surrounding area with a massive electrical discharge.
- Log Pose: Nami owns a specially designed compass that are made to help navigate in the Grand Line and it's atypical magnetic fields.
- Impact Dial: Nami uses an Impact Dial to absorb attacks and then send them back to her opponents.
- White Hobby Horse: Nami's personal waver (Basically a water scooter) that uses Jet Dials for propulsion.
