Misa Amane was considered the second Kira by L e, is a character of Death Note.
Background []
A year before the birth of the murderer "Kira", Misa's family was attacked and killed in their home, before their very eyes. This event generated a great desire for revenge in Misa. Some time later, her family's killers died by Kira's means, which caused Misa enormous admiration for the one who "did justice" in her place; Misa becoming an ally of Kira from that moment.
Some time later, shortly after starting her career as a model, Misa started to be pursued by an obsessed follower, who carried a knife with her. He confessed his feelings for her, but Misa rejected him, and he concludes that "if he couldn't have her then nobody would have her", and attacked her trying to kill her. A God of Death, Gelus, who was already in love with Misa and always watched her from the World of the Gods of Death, murdered the follower before he could kill her. Since the Gods of Death must take lives, not save them, Gelus ended up dying, his body turning to dust.
After Gelus 'death, Shinigami Rem went to the human world and delivered Gelus' Death Note to Misa, so she became the second Kira. In order to get the real Kira, Misa had to make the deal in Shinigami's eyes, thus reducing her life in half. When she meets Light Yagami, she would discover that he is Kira and would instantly fall in love with him, thus starting to follow all his orders.
Powers & Abilities[]
- Death Manipulation: So long as he knows a person's name and face, she can kill them by writing their name in the Death Note, normally causing a heart attack. It can also specify the person's death, as by cause lethal illness, suicide, and "accidental" deaths through seeming coincidence.
- Analysis of information: Because she has the eyes of a Shinigami, she can see a person's life expectancy and real name. If the person is another Death Note user, they will not be able to see their life expectancy.

- Death Note: The Death Note is a notebook that Rem gave to Misa Amane,where she can write names to kill people. To kill someone, the user just needs to write someone's name without abbreviating, so, within 40 seconds, the person with the name written on the notebook will die of a heart attack. The cause of death and the time can also be specified, as long as it is possible for this death to occur.
- Eyes of Shinigami: The eyes of Shinigami have the ability to see the life expectancy of humans and also their real names. Misa made the agreement of Shinigami's eyes with Rem and Ryuk, so her life was cut in half, however, in exchange she got the skills of the eyes.

- She is not very discreet being the second Kira.
- The Death Note has several restrictions, most notably that Misa needs to know her target's name and face to kill them, and it cannot make subjects do things that would be out of character or would kill others.
