Magilou Mayvin is one of the protagonists of Tales of Berseria. She is a mysterious and carefree woman who introduces herself as a "witch", deciding to accompany Velvet on her journey against Artorius, though Magilou's true intentions are to locate someone who betrayed her. She is acquainted with Melchior in a seemingly antagonistic relationship.

Background

A mysterious and carefree sorceress who joins Velvet and Rokurou in escaping their island prison. In the later part of the story, it is revealed that Melchior is her abusive foster father. A Lost Legate-rank Exorcist of the Abbey who was discarded for failing the final test. In the end, she becomes the first Mayvin scribe.

• After being longer considered a daughter my Melchior, she was mentally devastated that it seem to have some effect on her sanity.

• Magilou is voiced by Satomi Satō in Japanese, and voiced by Erica Lindbeck in English.
• Her name, Magilou, is derived from two names: full nameMagigigika Mirdin Do Din Norurun Du and her true birth name, Magillanica Lou Mayvin.
• Magilou's name is possibly derived from the word Magic, or Magi which is the plural form of Magus, both of which reference a sorcerer — fitting of her status as a Magical Girl. Magi, in a more Japanese context, refers to someone who has chosen the path of a magician.
• Her accent is based off of a real Japanese accent.
• Despite her youthful appearance she is hinted to be one of the older members of the party in her late twenties.
