Maggie is the protagonist in the comic book Friday the 13th: Abuser and the Abused. She is a teenage girl who lives with her verbally abusive stepmother and apathetic father and is in an abusive relationship with an aggressive jock named Steve.
Background[]
Maggie resides in the small town of Crystal Lake, New Jersey, with her verbally abusive stepmother and depressed, inattentive father. Maggie began committing acts of self-inflicted violence as a result of her depressed father's continual neglect, her mother's death, and the contempt she receives from her stepmother.
Maggie began dating a jock named Steve the same year her mother passed away. He would regularly assault her during his drunken rages. Steve's abusive behavior ultimately forces Maggie to find a solution to her out-of-control life. She eventually decides to "solve" her problems by turning to the local urban legend, Jason Voorhees.
