Kyoko Sakura is one of the main characters from the anime series Puella Magi Madoka Magica.
Background[]
Kyoko's family used to be poor, due to the fact that no one would go listen to her father's teachings at the church they owned because of his 'radical' ideas on religion. That is, until Kyoko came across a magical being named Kyubey, who offered to grant her one wish in exchange for her becoming a magical girl and killing the dark beings known as witches. Kyoko accepted, and her wish was for people to listen to her father's teachings. However, this wish led to her downfall when her father learned of her magical girl activities. Believing his daughter to be a witch who sold her soul to the devil, he drank his worries away with alcohol. One day, he snapped and murdered Kyoko's mother and little sister Momo, then proceeded to kill himself, leaving Kyoko as the sole survivor.

- Superhuman Agility: Kyoko is capable of leaping several meters at impressive speeds.
- Superhuman Durability: She can withstand any wound as long as her Soul Gem isn't damaged.
- Chain Barriers: She can generate huge barriers to protect others.
- Giant Spear Attack: Kyoko can summon a building-sized version of her spear, which she can use to cause a massive explosion. However, using it takes up a large amount of energy, and has a chance to kill Kyoko.
- Rosso Phantasma: Creates illusionary copies of Kyoko to confuse enemies.

- Spear: Kyoko's signature weapon, which she summons through magic. It is a large spear that Kyoko can divide into chained segments at any second giving her extra range and control over the battlefield.
- Soul Gem: The source of Kyoko's magic, her Soul Gem is a gem made from her removed soul. She can use its energy to heal herself, but doing so taints the Gem's energy.

Kyoko's witch form, she enters this form when her Soul Gem becomes tainted. She rides a horse and is accompanied by minions that simply march near Ophelia.
