King Bob-Omb is the self-proclaimed king of bob-ombs. He appears as the first boss of Super Mario 64.

Background[]
King Bob-Omb is first encountered on the top of a mountain in Bob-Omb battlefield. He is insulted by Mario's sudden appearance and challenges him to fight. Mario triumphs, and King Bob-Omb explodes. Since King Bob-Omb reappears in other games, it can be presumed that somehow he either regenerated or King Bob-Ombs are a subspecies of bob-omb.
