Jamison Fawkes (also known as Junkrat) is one of the many playable characters in Overwatch.
Background[]
During the Omnic Crisis, the country that received the most damage was Australia, as a large part of the country was turned into a barren wasteland due to an attack to Australia's omnium core. However, some people survived the attack, and formed an Anarchist society where only the strong survive. Jamison 'Junkrat' Fawkes is one of the so-called Junkers that spend their lives causing destruction and searching for treasure.
Due to the environment in which he lives, Junkrat has become an insane mercenary obsessed with explosions. He eventually discovered an extremely valuable secret in the bones of Omnium, so he became a wanted menace. However, he managed to form an alliance with another Junker named Mako Rutledge, and they soon became partners in crime.
Now, these two fugitives spend their lives bringing Anarchy into the world.
Powers & Abilities[]
- Superhuman Strength and Durability.
- Total Mayhem: If Junkrat dies in battle, his body will automatically detonate a bomb that will take a toll on the enemy's defenses.
Equipment[]
- Frag Launcher: Junkrat's main weapon. It's a custom grenade launcher with bouncing ammunition that explodes upon contact with the enemy.
- Concussion Mine: A special mine with two functions. It can be used to highly damage the enemy and knock them back significantly, and to propel Junkrat high into the air.
- Steel Trap: Junkrat sets up a giant bear trap that can immobilize the enemy.
- RIP-Tire: Junkrat's Ultimate Ability. Junkrat revs up a motorized tire bomb and sends it rolling across the battlefield, climbing over walls and obstacles. He can remotely detonate the RIP-Tire to deal serious damage to enemies caught within the blast, or just wait for it to explode on its own.
- Assorted Explosives: Unnamed explosives that aren't used in-game, but are often featured in other media. Capable of blowing up entire warehouses.
