Ivy Valentine

Background

Isabella Valentine was on the doorsteps of a London mansion as a mere infant, raised by the rich and loving Valentine family for most of her life. In the last years of his life, Ivy's father went mad attempting to seek out the legendary blade Soul Edge, and worked himself to death. His wife would perish soon after, but not before telling Ivy that they weren't her biological parents, and that her true father was the cursed pirate Cervantes de León, who formerly wielded Soul Edge. With that, Ivy became determined to destroy the sword that ruined her family. She constructed her own sword, a whip-like blade known as Valentine, and used the hand of the Azure Knight, Nightmare, to breathe life into it. However, the process ended up tying her own fate and life force to Soul Edge, causing her to become immortal. That means should she succeed in destroying the accursed sword, she will die as well. It is a fate that she has accepted and a path she has resigned herself to and continues to walk.

Weaknesses

• Defeated by Astaroth, Taki, Zasalamel, and Cervantes.
• Can still be killed in spite of being human.
• Has no armor around her body other aside her left arm.
• Her time manipulation is limited.
  • She can only slow down time (not fully).
  • It can only trap or slows down foes with similar speed as Ivy's.
  • It would be useless if fighting foes with much superior speed capabilities.

• Kaleidoscope damages her each time she attacks or blocks.
