Irisviel von Einzbern is a homunculus. She is the wife of Kiritsugu Emiya and the mother of Illyasviel von Einzbern.
Backstory[]
For the Fourth War, Jubstacheit von Einzbern decided to create a humanoid form like the Grail vessel that has a conscience and can be independent to defend itself from damage. He used the basis of the Justeaze archetype Lizrich von Einzbern to create Irisviel, so called the Justeaze-late model. One who became the mother body of the last homunculus among all Einzbern's homunculi in the past, she is the only one who experienced motherhood and gave birth to a successor.
It was based on the body of Justeaze Lizrich von Einzbern,Einzbern's original homunculus who created the Heaven's Feel system for the Holy Grail War and continues to function as its core. Initially left without identity or understanding of herself or society, Kiritsugu helped her find these things, and eventually they fell in love and had a daughter together.
During the Fourth Holy Grail War, Irisviel acts as the provisional Saber,while her true Master, Kiritsugu, operates outside.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Magecraft: Irisviel inherited the Einzbern family magecraft of Alchemy, and more specifically, the creation and forging of matter through Transmutation. Her weapons are long, thin, flexible wires that she can use to create homunculi instantly through alchemy, which can take multiple shapes and attack her opponents. She can also use it to bind others, and she is also proficient in healing magecraft. However, her abilities are not well-suited for direct combat.
