Background[]
Kyle Rayner prior to becoming a Green Lantern was a struggling yet gifted self-taught freelance artist living in Los Angeles. Unbeknownst to Kyle, Hal Jordan of the Green Lantern Corps went on a genocidal rampage after the destruction of his home Coast City, wiping out the Green Lantern Corps along with most of the Guardians of the Universe, who were seen as their leaders/overseers. Ganthet, the only Guardian to have survived Jordan’s rampage, found Rayner in LA and chose him to don a Green Lantern ring as the last member and hope for the Green Lanterns to defeat the now insane Hal Jordan.
Kyle was unsure of what to do with his newfound powers and went to his girlfriend Alexandra DeWitt, who helped him make a costume to disguise himself. On his first outing, he came face to face with the tyrant conqueror Mongul, who was seeking out Hal Jordan, but opted to kill Kyle anyway, until Superman intervened, the two working together to stop Mongul. Eventually, Kyle would have to come face to face with Parallax Hal, detonating the Green Lantern planet Oa to stop him and later coming back to him to ask him for help to defeat the Sun-Eater, a monstrous cosmic creature the Justice League couldn’t handle. Parallax Hal saw this as his way to redeem himself, preventing the Sun-Eater from enveloping the Sun and restoring the Earth at the cost of his own life. In the wake of his events, Kyle would go on to become a charter member of the Justice League of America, going on many adventures such as stopping his parallel evil counterpart, Oblivion.
Eventually, after many adventures across the cosmos, including the return of Hal Jordan, the Guardians themselves would seek to wipe out all life with emotions in the universe, forcing all the Corps to unite and help Kyle reach his true potential to weaponize every emotion across the spectrum and stand a chance against the Guardians. Through trial and tribulation, Kyle would become the master of all of the colors of the Emotional Spectrum, tapping into each emotion along the way and finding the love in his heart, allowing him to finally tap into the white light of the White Lantern. As a White Lantern, Kyle would come face to face with even more questions and experiences, such as being dragged into a war between Highfather and Darkseid due to Highfather’s desire to manipulate the Life Equation, the source and coding of life itself that Kyle Rayner had found and became one with during his trip to the Source Wall after defeating Relic. Inadvertently, Kyle would also bring back his evil counterpart Oblivion after journeying to the Source Wall, defeating him by splitting the Life Equation into several portions to create the White Lantern Corps. Continuing to act as a peacekeeper for the White Lantern Corps, Kyle continued to help and serve wherever needed, such as joining forces with the Omegas to bring peace to the Vega System.
Powers & Abilities[]
- Hand-to-Hand Combat: Kyle is experienced in various forms of fighting and hand-to-hand combat. His experience as a Green Lantern has made him used to fighting all sorts of threats from entire fleets of robots or warships to challenging other experienced Lanterns such as Sinestro. One of his best feats is challenging and beating an alien assassin who has slain multiple Green Lanterns and Darkstars.
- Marksmanship: Kyle’s practice with constructs have made him an incredibly good shot, having great precision and accuracy. He can snipe a large building from a far away distance and has even made Roy Harper, an experienced marksman jealous of his skills with a bow and arrow.
- Artistry: In Kyle’s spare time, he is an artist, which has fueled his creativity for a lot of the constructs he makes. He is skilled in drawing, painting, sculpting, photographing, ink drawing, coloring, designing, etc. By the 31st century, Kyle is considered to be one of the greatest artists in history.
- Creativity & Imagination: Kyle’s main ability as a Green Lantern is the ability to create light-generated energy constructs out of sheer willpower. These constructs often come straight from Kyle’s imagination, and unlike other Lanterns, Kyle’s are known to be much more creative and even whimsical at times. His love for fiction, movies, and even anime have led him to make constructs inspired from what he loves such as kaijus or various anime-inspired mechs and robots (wink wink). His constructs can have a variety of purposes such as restraining others, amplifying his striking strength, generally holding back/keeping enemies at bay with constructs to fight for him, and even amplifying the strength of those around him, such as creating a construct sphere that absorbed and amplified the powers of Sentinel, Fire, Firestorm, the Ray, and Superman.
- Emotional Electromagnetic Spectrum: The Emotional Electromagnetic Spectrum is an energy field from which all emotion in the universe comes from all while being fueled by it. It is the power source of the Lantern corps and each emotion has a specific abstract entity related to it. The Red Light of Rage comes with the Butcher. The Orange Light of Avarice comes with Ophidian. The Yellow Light of Fear comes with Parallax. The Green Light of Willpower comes with Ion. The Blue Light of Hope comes with Adara. The Indigo Light of Compassion comes with Proselyte and the Violet Light of Love comes with the Predator. The sum total of these colors becomes one of the seven forces of the universe and the White Light of Life.
- Emotional Spectrum Manipulation: During the New 52, Kyle tapped into the ability to tap into not just willpower, but the entire Emotional Spectrum at once, which includes every shade of color, unlike anything the Guardians have seen before. He could use every color of the spectrum at once, which was strong enough to hurt Ganthet, and even contact and message other Lantern Corps members, which was originally impossible. He also gained side effects for his Green Lantern ring, as the Guardians now became unable to command Kyle’s ring or take it off along with being unable to sense it. On top of this, Kyle’s ring can leave behind a distortion field if attempts are made to seize it, which Ganthet cannot even circumvent. Kyle was able to master all of the emotions of the Emotional Spectrum, which includes being able to use their respective and unique abilities such as;
- Red/Rage: Kyle was able to master rage after extensive torture from Atrocitus, and can now channel rage-based abilities such as napalm breath/blood or corrosive blasts of energy.
- Orange/Avarice: After charging his Green Lantern ring with the Orange Power Battery, Kyle was able to tap into avarice powers as well, which allowed him to make constructs of himself.
- Yellow/Fear: Kyle can channel and use fear to affect other people with it. He can sense the fear in others and instill fear into them in the form of concentrated fear blasts or constructs of their worst nightmares.
- Blue/Hope: By channeling hope, Kyle can enhance his own willpower by an extra 100% and heal the wounds of others.
- Indigo/Compassion: Kyle was able to quickly master compassion by learning to teleport on the first try, the Indigo Tribe’s main ability. He can mimic the lights of other Lantern Corps and teleport himself or others across vast distances.
- Violet/Love: The last emotion Kyle mastered, he was able to accept love into his heart, which allowed him to heal his fatal wounds.
Equipment[]
- Green Lantern Ring: Kyle’s main weapon is his standard Green Lantern power ring, which gives him access to a variety of powers that are channeled through his willpower and by the Green Lantern’s light. The only limit to this ring is Kyle’s skill, imagination, and creativity with how he uses it. The ring has many versatile functionalities that come with it such as; Being able to stabilize Kyle’s medical condition and keep him in homeostasis. Tying itself to Kyle’s genetic coding to where only he can use it if it were to be taken off/stolen. If ringless, Kyle can summon the ring back to him with a summoning link at any time.
- Willpower: Kyle is a Green Lantern, which means he has an unbreakable amount of willpower that fuels his power into things like constructs and perform insane feats such as willing his ring back into existence even after it was broken (shown above). Oftentimes however this willpower can be used to overcome obstacles such as mental threats.
- Bright Green Energy Conduit: The rings use pure energy supplied by a Power Battery, which in most cases takes the form of bright green light. This energy is the green light of willpower of the Emotional Electromagnetic Spectrum. Rot Lop Fan, from a race without eyes, perceives it as the sound "F-Sharp" and his 'ring' is actually a bell. A Green Lantern's ring, considered by some to be one of the most powerful weapons in the known universe, has the ability to affect and use fundamental forces of the known universe, including electromagnetic energies such as gravity, radiation, heat, light, and powerful blasts of concussive force. It is also theorized that the ring also has a basis in other dimensional energies commonly called magic by users of such energies. The ring can also create fields of force formed from an unknown energy that is bound by the users' will. The limitations of such use are the skill, knowledge and imagination of the user. Some of the abilities that a Green Lantern Ring has shown are:
- Energy Projection: The ring can be used to fire blasts of Oan energy or create weapons such as projectiles of them. The ring can project beams of force powered by the will of the user. The ring can be used to produce kryptonite and kryptonite radiation. Kyle generally used fanciful constructs in the shape of advanced technology. Their appearance does not indicate the power of the weapon. The weapon's power is more an indication of the will of the user. Certain users (i.e. Hal Jordan) have been powerful enough to stagger even Superman. If the user wishes, they can alter the form of the blasts such as Kilowog's "booms." Code 1012 is a protocol to incinerate all extraterrestrial weapons and technology in the area.
- Force Field: The ring can create various force fields of various sizes and shapes to protect the wearer and others around him. With the cosmic scope of a Green Lantern's duties, it is only natural that the power ring is designed for operation in space. The ring creates a force field around the wearer, protecting him/her/it from the hazards of the void including filtration of stellar radiation and microscopic particulate matter which would ordinarily be fatal should the space debris strike the ring wielder at high speeds. An atmosphere appropriate to the ring wielder's biology is created inside the force-field while body temperature is maintained and waste products are removed. Gravitational stresses which could cause injury are stabilized for the ring wielder. Theoretically, a ring wielder could use the ring as his/her/its sole source of life support. The force field seems to be created instantaneously whether this is due to programming or an instinctive reaction from intensive training has not been established. It could be considered as a subroutine of the ring's automatic defensive system, but as of yet this theory has not been proven. The only exception to that was attacks based on the color yellow. The newer version of the ring is not limited by the color yellow.
- Energy Construct Creation: The ring can form constructs of Oan energy. The primary function of the Power Ring is to provide a weapon capable of transforming the wearer's thoughts into physical constructs through the wearer's strength of willpower. A Green Lantern can create any particular items or construct that they can imagine as long as they have the willpower necessary to will it into existence. The constructs are made out of bright green energy, which is a tangible form of pure willpower, and they exist only as long as a Green Lantern is fueling it with their willpower. Items created by the rings are not indestructible and are only as powerful as the willpower of the Green Lantern creating them. The types of constructs usually reflects the ring wearer's personality. For example, Kyle Rayner was an artist, so his constructs reflect his strong imagination. John Stewart is an architect so his constructs often appear mechanical as if he designed them in his mind before making them a reality.
- Superhuman Strength: While not super strength of the conventional sense, a Lantern while using constructs created by the ring becomes capable of lifting/moving tremendous weights far heavier than 100 tons with little effort.
- Clones Constructs:
- Armors Constructs:
- Firearms Constructs:
- Giant Firefighter Construct:
- Giant Thor Construct:
- Justice League Members Constructs:
- Cartoon Super Mouse Construct:
- Giant Pinball Construct:
- Artist's Hand Construct:
- Motorbike Construct:
- Green Machine Construct:
- Pirate Ship Construct:
- Mech Construct:
- Evangelion Construct:
- Gurren Construct:
- Kaiju Construct:
- Teleportation: Kyle can use the ring to teleport himself or others across vast distances. He has been shown capable of teleporting short distances such as to a friend or past a wall, and long distances like teleporting from Earth-30 back to Earth-3.
- Energy Absorption: The ring can absorb and store other energies. Doing so does NOT replenish the normal store of energy the ring has. A ring that needs recharging but contained a store of electricity could only discharge that electricity, for example.
- Phasing: The Power Ring allows the wearer to pass through certain solid objects such as walls. Which objects that are not penetrable are not known, but it may depend upon the strength of the wearer's willpower and the density of the object's molecular structure.
- Environmental Playback: Upon request, the power ring can recreate a holographic environment based on data in its memory banks. The ring wielder can observe events in a ghostlike state, but the ring wielder cannot alter the outcome of the playback. All objects in the playback will appear in the full spectrum of colors, regardless of the wielder's level of expertise creating simulacra. The power ring will automatically end the playback if outside interference warrants the ring wielder's undivided attention.
- Will Empowerment: Emerald power rings can be further magnified by the amount of will a user possesses. A wielder can not only ascertain incredible strength if their will is strong enough, but the strongest of wills also acts as a surrogate means of recharging; and in some cases, supercharging their power ring in case they are low on energy at the time. The only drawback being if their will is too strong, the ring may explode, taking the wearer with it.
- Invisibility and Light Refraction: A ring wielder can render him/her/itself invisible by willing the ring to bend light waves around his/her/its form, as well as that of the power ring. Presumably, a similar action allows an experienced ring wielder to create objects of colors other than green. As Hal Jordan's experience grew, he was able to create power ring illusions of people and objects. It can be assumed the ring wielder would not risk the extra time and effort to create other colors in a combat situation. An invisibility shield was used by Hal Jordan to hide his power ring, which would only become visible when he changed to Green Lantern.
- Intangibility: The ring allows Kyle to pass through solid objects such as walls. However, how effective it is can depend on Kyle’s willpower and the density of an object.
- Emerald Sight: An as of yet unexplained power in which the Green Lantern can obtain, is the ability to divine the future in glimpses of bright radiance. So far Mr. Baz is the only lantern with the power to date.
- Energy Twin: The power ring allows the wearer to create an "energy twin" of his/her/itself that can travel at far greater speeds than that of the ring wielder's physical form. While the energy twin is active the ring wielder remains motionless, his/her/its life force is needed to guide the energy twin. The energy twin can not alter its surroundings and may only be perceived by the Guardians or another ring wielder as a green, ghostlike image. Any knowledge gained by the energy twin is transferred back to the ring wielder's physical form upon recontact with the body. The Guardians frequently used energy twins as a means of contacting a Green Lantern. As a rule, a ring wielder can not create actual, independent duplicates of him/her/itself, as the power ring cannot create life.
- Flight: By the manipulation of anti-gravitons and directed molecular movement, the ring allows the user to fly at incredible speeds. In atmosphere, a Green Lantern has been known to fly as fast as Mach 10 in atmosphere by creating an aerodynamic envelope around his body. Towing others, usually within a bubble, his speed is limited to the twice the speed of sound or 1440 mph. In space, Green Lantern's speed can be significantly greater and has been known to approach 99% of light speed in normal space. Flight has been shown to be velocities far exceeding light speed. In atmospheres, air friction is not a hindrance since heat is either absorbed or reflected by the ring's field.
- Wormholes and Spatial Warps: The power ring grants its wearer access to wormholes in space, enabling the ring wielder to rapidly cut time and distance needed for transport. The Guardians established at least one known wormhole to Oa, which once required the use of a power ring to enter. Black holes can be navigated by experienced ring wielders. During a battle with Sinestro and his ally, MadGod, members of the Green Lantern Corps of Earth and the Green Lantern Corps of the Klyminade traveled through a black hole to be deposited outside a white hole in Sector 872. The power ring cannot generate a Boom Tube as it needs a Mother Box powered by a sample of the highly unstable Element X. There is no known way to duplicate either item even with the power ring. Should a Green Lantern make his/her/its way to the other-dimensional worlds of Apokolips or New Genesis through a Boom Tube, the ring will function as it does in the rest of the universe. John Stewart encountered no ring related difficulties during his stay on New Genesis, despite the loss of the Central Power Battery. The ring wielder would still need a Boom Tube to return to his/her/its dimension.
- Time Travel: Time travel is possible with the power ring, though the further forward in time a ring wielder travels, the more willpower it takes. As Green Lantern, Hal Jordan once explored as far as the 70th century. Jordan had also traveled to the 58th century as Pol Manning, a role later adopted by Salakk of Slyggia. The ring also granted the wearer the ability to communicate telepathically with other people from different points in time.
- Limited Cellular Regeneration: The ring has an ability to heal physical injuries; this seems to be a feature held over from the previous incarnations of the ring. Green Lantern can use the ring to repair injuries in himself or others. Speculation has been rendered that if Kyle actually had medical knowledge he would be able to cure a wider variety of dysfunctions beyond normal physical injuries. Simon Baz has used the ring to maculous degrees in healing and restorative capacities; having brought his brother-in-law out of a coma using his ring.
- Electromagnetic Scanning: The ring has a wide range of detection abilities based on the imagination of the user. If one can conceive of it, he can probably detect it. Magical effects like clairvoyance seem to be beyond the scope of the ring. Most normal electromagnetic phenomena are within the range of the ring, including radio, radar, television, infrared, ultraviolet, microwave, and high frequency band communications.
- Galactic Encyclopedia: The earlier rings worn by the Corps functioned as references for their users. Having the vast knowledge of the Book of Oa to draw upon, each ring functioned as a ready reference on most peoples, stellar events and conditions that may have been seen by other rings or other Green Lanterns. The rings also served as a repository of adventures had by the Green Lantern and these mission reports were stored in the Prime Battery on Oa for review and training.
- Universal Translator: Keeping in mind the myriad of worlds, life forms, and cultures throughout the cosmos, it is understandable why the Guardians added a translation system to the power ring. The power ring can translate virtually any language in the universe, facilitating diplomatic encounters rather than violent confrontations. Complications arise when a frame of reference for translation is not available, as evidenced during Katma Tui's induction of Rot Lop Fan into the Green Lantern Corps. Katma Tui had the difficult assignment of explaining the concepts of "light" and "color" to the sightless Rot Lop Fan. She overcame this barrier by using sound rather than light as the basis of the ring's power. Some Green Lanterns, such as the planet form known as Mogo, have used the ring to create an intermediary "being" to expedite communication. However, this ability seems less effective since the restoration; it is possible that not all the data was recovered.
- Material Alteration: The Green Lantern's uniform is not made out of fabric. It is created by the Power Ring whenever the wearer wills to wear it. It automatically appears over the wearer's normal clothing, and vanishes when the wearer wills to return to their civilian attire. Most Green Lanterns wear similar uniforms that are programmed into the ring by default such as Hal Jordan's uniform. However, each Green Lantern is able to adjust their uniform to fit their own needs, personalities and whims. For example, Kyle Rayner was unsatisfied with the traditional Green Lantern uniform and created several of his own designs. John Stewart's uniform is similar to Hal Jordan's, but lacks a mask to hide his identity. Jack Chance is the most extreme example, refusing to wear a uniform save for a Lantern badge on his trench coat. The green parts of the wearer's uniform are usually very warm or hot to those who touch it, while the black parts are very cold. The uniform also produces a "siren" taking on the form of the Green Lantern Corps' symbol, circling the Green Lantern when active. The symbol, or badge, will not appear on the uniform until after a newly inducted Lantern has completed training on Oa, leading to the term "White-circle" to describe a rookie Lantern.
- Ring Duplication: Most Power Rings are capable of automatically duplicating themselves. Each duplicate typically shares the qualities and capabilities of the original ring. While the thought of an unauthorized person getting a hold of a power ring and making duplicates for nefarious purposes, their ability to inflict damage is limited because each duplicate still requires to be recharged by a personal power battery.
- Emergency Beacon: A Green Lantern in distress can use his/her/its power ring as an emergency beacon. The alert can be directed to a Green Lantern's neighboring sector, or it can be a Corps-wide alert.
- Homing Beacon: A homing beacon in the power ring can lead one Green Lantern to another. This was one of the recent power ring upgrade features added by the Guardians of the Universe. The power ring can be ordered to disguise itself to elude power ring wielding trackers. Guy Gardner successfully escaped the Green Lantern Corps of Earth by willing the power ring to keep his location a secret. Most often ring wielders will allow the beacon to signal their location to others. The Green Lantern Corps of Earth found the remnants of the Green Lantern Corps of The Klyminade by tracking them through their power rings.
- Mind Alteration: Though the ethics of mind tampering may be debatable, sometimes it is necessary. As the power ring relies on thought and will to operate, mind tampering is not impossible. The real difficulty lies in properly applying the power. There lies a risk of catastrophic damage to the mind should mistakes be made. A ring wielder can use the power ring to erase portions of an individual's memories. To protect his secret identity as Hal Jordan, Green Lantern created a mental block in the mind of Major Disaster. Green Lanterns have used mind techniques as part of training. New recruits may be subjected to mind scans by other Green Lanterns or the Guardians of the Universe. They are taught to build mental defenses to protect themselves from psionic attack. The power ring can also be used to beam information from the ring wielder to another being. Green Lanterns have used this technique to share information regarding their enemies during combat situations.
- Pocket Dimension: Within the ring exists the possibility of an entire world. When Green Lantern Abin Sur of Ungara defeated the evil sorcerer Myrwhydden, he reduced the magician to submicroscopic size and imprisoned him inside the power ring within a world created by the Green Lantern's will. This undefined space may be a tesseract or a virtual reality created by the power ring. Whether or not this area exists in all rings has yet to be proven. Years after Abin Sur's death, Myrwhydden's power grew, allowing him to alter his environment and escape to battle the next Green Lantern, Hal Jordan. The power ring's interior appeared as a barren wasteland, dotted with dead trees and sea shells which Myrwhydden used during an escape attempt. A few years ago, Mywhydden was removed from the power ring to be sentenced to an Oan Sciencell.
- Resurrection: In rare cases, the ring can keep its user alive after his/her body reaches a state of irreversible death. In Driq's case, the Green Lantern was kept "alive" by his power ring's refusal to let his life slip away.
- Security Protocol: The rings can be programmed. They are coded to the wearer to make them unusable if stolen. The ring will refuse to take an action that would kill a being unless they are on Oa or with permission. The Guardians recently removed the lethal force prohibition, first to allow lethal force against members of the Sinestro Corps, then against all enemies of the Green Lantern Corps.
- Preset Conditions: Commands can be stored in the ring to be executed at a later date even if the bearer is not wearing the ring. This ability was demonstrated by Ch'p, who surrendered his ring but ordered it to restrain his enemy after a few moments had passed.
- Thought Relay: Otherwise known as a telepathic link. A Green Lantern can do the ring works at short distances, but its effectiveness is considerably lesser when compared with a user wearing it in his/her/its finger.
- Dimensional Travel: The ring grants Kyle access to wormholes in space that allow him to cross vast distances within space if needed and, to some extent, can use it to travel across dimensions. He is capable of opening up transdimensional bleed portals that can take him back to Earth.
- Reality Warping: Kyle has demonstrated reality warping abilities on a few occasions. For instance, he was able to change the length of a planck length from 10-33 centimeters to a centimeter (shown above) and has shown the ability to create entire new planets.
- Communicator: Kyle can use the ring as a personal communicator between other Green Lanterns and sometimes even other Lantern Corps.
- Self-Destruct:
- Green Lantern Power Battery: The Green Lantern power battery is what Kyle uses to charge his Green Lantern power ring to 100%. Said power battery is linked to the Central Green Lantern Power Battery in Oa and is constantly charged by it. When Kyle does not have it on hand, he can hide it in a pocket dimension or spatial rift.
- Mask: Kyle’s mask is forged by his own willpower and is unique in that it houses advanced computer and scanning abilities that allow him to see farther away and in 3D/infrared.
- Power Battery Fragment: Kyle carries with him a fragment of a power battery that he can pull out and activate to use, making it act like a real one in the scenario if he were to lose his original one or need to help supplement fellow Lanterns.
- The Life Equation: The Life Equation is the will of all beings in existence and the source / coding for life itself, and the mathematical equation that also makes up the entirety of the Emotional Spectrum. It is also called the opposite of the Anti-Life Equation and the only thing that can oppose its power. Kyle can use the Life Equation however he wants, as the Guardians reaffirmed to him that it cannot be fully taken away from him and only he has access to its full potential. Kyle has used the Life Equation for a variety of reality warping purposes such as; Summoning his own version of the Source Wall. Reshaping the universe so travel to the Source Wall and back is possible. Warping the environment around him, changing Carol into Alex and giving Carol Alex’s thoughts along with the rest of the cosmos, and can do so on a universal scale. Or manipulates the Life Equation and splits it into seven rings to create the White Lantern Corps, said Corps was strong enough to defeat Oblivion, Kyle’s evil parallel counterpart.
Forms[]

White Lantern[]
After mastering all seven of the shades in the Emotional Spectrum, Kyle became a White Lantern. He became exponentially more powerful, and most of the powers he had as a Green Lantern still carry over to his White Lantern form, only to a much higher mastery and degree.
- White Lantern Power Ring: The White Lantern power ring is Kyle’s main weapon and one of the toughest and most powerful objects in the universe, with Lightray even claiming it is powerful enough to pass through the Source Wall, the edge of the known universe. Drawing power from life and creation itself, Kyle can channel the white light along with all the other colors of the Emotional Spectrum, which include rage, avarice, greed, willpower, hope, compassion, and love. Kyle’s skill and creativity are its only limits on what it can make in the way of constructs.
- Emotional Spectrum Mastery: As mentioned before, Kyle was able to manipulate the various shades of the Emotional Spectrum. However, once he accepted love into his heart as the final emotion left, he was able to not only become a White Lantern, but able to fully master and use all of the emotions to their fullest potential. He is still able to use all of the shades of color at once in conjunction with the additional white light. He also gains additional senses that allow him to detect these emotions within others and project them, and is able to sense Volthoom attempting to rewrite the universe. Kyle now has a full mastery of all the emotions and can use them to a much greater extent, which includes;
- Red/Rage: Kyle has now fully mastered the ability to unleash his rage, capable of unleashing napalm breath and corrosive blasts of rage, now being able to create rage constructs and even infect others with rage, which he does on a group of space sharks, causing them to attack each other.
- Orange/Avarice: While he hasn’t demonstrated too much with avarice, he is still able to make constructs of greed.
- Yellow/Fear: With fear, Kyle can use fear to empower himself and also instill fear into others to go hand in hand with his ability to use fear. He was able to detect Relic’s fears and use them against him in the form of constructs of his worst nightmares. He can also unleash projectiles and constructs of fear.
- Green/Willpower: Despite becoming a White Lantern, Kyle was still able to retain his ability to channel willpower. One of its main uses is helping protect or will Kyle through mental threats. His willpower is strong enough to break free of influence from the Emotional Entities and even resist all of them attempting to possess Kyle, something the Entities themselves remarked was impossible. He was able to break free of Volthoom’s memory manipulation on two occasions, break free of Oblivions’ illusions by baiting him into revealing his plan, and break free of the Misery Mound’s mental influence.
- Blue/Hope: Kyle can supplement himself or others with hope, as well as use hope augmentation to boost his power up to 200%. He can detect hope with his ring, which has stronger tracking then even Hal Jordan’s ring, and was able to locate and communicate with Sinestro.
- Indigo/Compassion: Kyle retained the same mastery of using the power of compassion. He was shown capable of unleashing a large area of effect blast of compassion that stopped conflict. His teleportation abilities are even more potent, as he was able to teleport dozens of Godkillers, that were on multiple planets across the cosmos, out of their armor and sends them all to the Odym, something the Guardians thought was impossible that the ring could accomplish.
- Violet/Love: Kyle can channel love in various ways such as crystallization or filling peoples hearts with love. He can form telepathic links via love, as he was able to sense Carol was in danger due to their love connection.
- Black/Death
- Energy Contructs: So long as Kyle has a balance of his emotions, he is able to make hardened constructs made out of light energy. His creativity for said constructs still carries over, continuing to make large mechs and large anime-inspired weapons in general. He is also still able to use his constructs to amplify his strength, but in a different way. He can channel specific emotions into the punches and attacks he has, such as this instance where he punches a giant dragon with a punch of rage.
- Energy Manipulation: Kyle can unleash white light into various forms of attacks such as energy blasts, beams, or area of effect attacks. They are much more potent than before however, with Kyle implying his energy attacks are better than Star Sapphires, blasting apart Raga, Mogo the living planet's evil brother from his heart inside out, and even destroying countless members of the Third Army. For reference, the Third Army was a powerful race of creatures created by the Guardians that are resistant to Lantern energies and override DNA to convert even Lanterns to Third Army members.
- White Energy Beams:
- Force Fields: Kyle can use force fields in the forms of bubbles, shields, and barriers, only much more durable than before and made out of white light construct energy. They can stand up to powerful attacks and explosions such as a monster being thrown at Kyle at a significant portion of the speed of light.
- Life Manipulation: The White Lanterns’ light allows Kyle to manipulate and draw power from creation and life itself. He can generate life with every footstep he takes, which starts to bring life to creatures on a dead planet. He can also warp the power of light, such as when he entered the Source Wall Relic and manipulate life so that travel from the Source Wall becomes possible. He can also mentally tap into the power of life to view memories and previous lives of deceased beings.
- Healing/Resurrection: Like his Green Lantern ring, the White Lantern ring has the ability to heal Kyle of any injuries or wounds if fully charged. While he's implied he is unable to fully resurrect someone from the dead, he has disproved his own reasoning before, albeit with assistance sometimes. He was able to resurrect the dead planet of Korugar and bring Hal Jordan back to life by using his ring as a focal point to take him out of Emerald Space. It was implied Kyle was going to resurrect the Blue Lantern Corps, but Dr. Manhattan tampered with his ring before the process could go through.
- Life Connection: Since the White Lantern ring uses the energies of life, it is connected to all of life itself which means all living creatures, along with the Life Entity. It can allow Kyle to see the footprints of life and see the past and present conditions of all life in a limited area around the user and even the "souls" or essence of those who have recently died. He can also sense when life is being taken away on a wide scale, reaching even planetary level.
- Clairvoyance: Kyle’s ring has a unique ability to gain direct visual knowledge or information through non-physical means. He can peer into current events or moments happening from vast distances. He has done this often to keep tabs on the other Lantern Corps such as Larfleeze, Carol, Atrocitus, Indigo-1, and the Blue Lantern Corps.
- Life Equation:
- Reality Warping:
- Emotional Spectrum Mastery: As mentioned before, Kyle was able to manipulate the various shades of the Emotional Spectrum. However, once he accepted love into his heart as the final emotion left, he was able to not only become a White Lantern, but able to fully master and use all of the emotions to their fullest potential. He is still able to use all of the shades of color at once in conjunction with the additional white light. He also gains additional senses that allow him to detect these emotions within others and project them, and is able to sense Volthoom attempting to rewrite the universe. Kyle now has a full mastery of all the emotions and can use them to a much greater extent, which includes;
Hybrid Lantern[]
Feats[]
Strength[]

Weaknesses[]
