Fate/Stay Night is a Type Moon Visual novel launched in 2004. The series is known for going through a war over the Holy Grail in which magicians summon spirits from the past as their servants in a certain class.

- War: It is the fifth war of the Holy Grail, where 7 magicians are chosen to fight each other, invoking their servants, in which the last surviving pair wins the war.
- Servants: They are historical figures who are summoned by magicians to help them in the war. These servants are divided into classes (Saber, Lancer, Archer, Rider, Caster, Assassin and Berserker.)
- Holy Grail: It is the omnipotent Grail that appears in the War, in which whoever obtains it will be able to fulfill a wish.
