Doomfist, real name Akande Ogundimu, is a villain and character from the first-person shooter Overwatch. He is the leader of Talon. His title of Doomfist has actually belong to two former doomfists.

Backstory[]

Akande was born into a well-reguarded Nigerian family, and the heir to their prosthetic-technology company. Very charismatic and intelligent, Akande was able to help expand the company greatly. In his free time he studied martial arts, training in traditional African fight styles, such as Dambe and Gidigbo. After the Omnic Crisis, Doomfist lost his right arm. This ended his martial arts career early, before even reaching his prime. While his company was able to give him a prosthetic arm, this made him illelligible for the martial arts competitions. Although he tried to devote as much energy to his company as he did fighting, it just didn't work. This was solved when he was given a second chance by Akinjide Adeyemi, the second doomfist. Adeyemi gave Akande a job as a mercenary, and eventully brought him into Talon.

Powers & Abilities[]

Fighting Style: A master martial artist practicing since he was young, he's trained in traditional African fighting styles, including Dambe and Gidigbo. Means he specializes in never losing his balance and forcing the opponent into submission. He was also trained in wrestling and other modern combat systems, he's competed in tournaments all over Africa. He mixes traditional martial arts with his advanced technology, he's fought Tracer, Genji, and Winston at the same time.
The Best Defense: Creates a temporary shield when dealing damage.
Seismic Slam: Doomfist is able to leaps forward and slams his gauntlet into the ground, creating a damaging shock wave around the point of impact.
Rising Uppercut: Using the boosters on his guantlet, Doomfist launches him self in the air while doing an uppercut.
Rocket Punch: Doomfist charges up his booster, and then propels himself forward fist first. This does a great deal of damage, especially if the target hits the wall.
Meteor Strike: Doomfist leaps into the sky, and then slams down onto the earth at super high speeds. Dealing significant damage to the person he directly hits and sending all those around him flying (Quite literally hitting the earth like an actually meteor).

Equipment[]

Doomfist Guantlet: The very weapon he's named after, this massive hunk of metal is about as big as he is tall. That supposibly has enough strength to destroy skyscrapers.
Hand Cannon: Doomfist has an arm cannon attached to his left arm, that shoots short-range, high spread, auto-reload bullets. And deal decent damage up close but is weaker at long ranged.

Strength[]

With his gauntlet, he's said to be able to level a skyscraper.
Smashed apart Orisa, forcing them to be rebuilt.
Knocked Winston away 20 feet.
Destroyed a street.
Can send targets weighing as much as Roadhog and Bastion flying.
Can lift and toss a car into the air with his gauntlet.
Ripped stone out of the ground.
Knocked away Genji.
Tore off Tracer's Chronal Accelerator.
Easily smashed through the walls of a maximum-security prison with just his bare hands.

Speed[]

DodgedWinston's Tesla Cannon at point-blank range.
Jumps large distances in the air.
Kept up with Tracer and Genji.
- Albeit he was still slower.
After studying her movements, ripped Tracer's chronal acceletator off her back while she was blinking around.
Attacked several guards before they could react.

Durability[]

Almost competely unfazed by both Tracer's Pulse Pistol's bullets and Genji's shurikens.
Shrugged of Genji's shurikens.
Took hits from Genji's sword.
- Genji can cut cars in half.
Took hits from a Primal Rage Winston.
- Through he presumably lost.

Skill[]

Became a master martial artist at a young age.
- Won tournaments around the globe.
Successfully lead his family's company.
Was trained by Akinjide Adeyemi, the first Doomfist.
Was so skilled, Talon wanted him to be a leader.
Defeated Orisa, Tracer and Genji.
Fought an Overwatch strike team.
The Doomfist Gauntlet became a well-known weapon that Talon tried to steal.
Broke out of a maximum security prison.
Destroyed Numbani's newly unveiled OR15 defense robots.
With Widowmaker, infiltrated Vialli's casino joint.
Killed Vialli
He's incredibly smart, orchestrating many of Talon's conflicts.
Is able to read his opponents' moves very well.
Incredibly patient, planning his prison escape for years.

Weaknesses[]

Without his guantlet abilities, Doomfist is rather exposed, especially when fighting multiple opponents.
If he's unable to fight or decide his next move, he enters an almost depressed state.
While he does have a few long-ranged options, he's more of a close-ranged fighter.
Slower than most offense class heroes.
Opponents with lots of health or durability can take hits from him, like Roadhog.
Despite being a master of martial arts, having trained for literal years if not decades, for some reason, he mainly prefers running into battle fists at the ready.

Doomfist is the third successor of the doomfist guantlet, the others being Adhabu "The Savior" Ngumi and Akinjide "The Scourge" Adeyemi.
Doomfist's title is "The Successor".
