Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd (Fire Emblem) render

Background[]

Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd. The crown prince of the Holy Kingdom of Faerghus, Dimitri lived a life of luxury and comfort growing up as he befriended another royal, Edelgard von Hresvelg, and soon gave her a dagger as a token of his affection. Soon however, his life took a turn for the worst as an incident known as the Tragedy of Duscur left him as the only surviving member of Faerghus' royal family. The incident soon awakened in him a deep-rooted need for vengeance and a strange bloodlust he couldn't control. Eventually, he grew into a capable military commander and leader as he soon attended the Officers Academy in Garreg Mach Monastery and became the house leader of the Blue Lions.

Feats[]

Strength[]

  • When he was younger, his childhood regime was basically Batman-tier:
    • Lifted giant boulders.
    • Carried multiple barrels filled with rocks.
    • Ran for miles overnight in heavy armor.
  • With either just a single punch or a simple squeeze, he can easily snap necks.
  • Can upheave massive chunks of earth with his lance swings.
  • Easily overpowered four Imperial soldiers at once.
  • As per the benefit of being in a Warriors game, can easily ragdoll dozens of fully-armed soldiers with his strikes.
  • When he was 9, he broke a sword in half by swinging it too hard.
  • Before the 5-year timeskip, crushed a soldier’s head with one hand.
  • Physically superior to Raphael, who can shatter a large rock effortlessly.
  • Using Areadbhar, broke through the magical shield of Thales.
  • Can kill massive wolves, birds, worms, dragons and even mechs.
  • Overpowered a platoon with one attack
  • Battled and killed an evil shadow version of himself while trapped in Zahras.
  • As a child, was able to swim in full armor.

Speed[]

  • Can easily deflect arrows fired from a relatively close distance.
  • Can move relatively quick compared to the Meteor spell (Mach 7.8).
  • Can keep up with Felix, who can create after-images.
  • Can dodge Rhea’s Hoarfrost spell (more on this before the verdict).
  • Dodged Hegemon Edelgard’s fireballs that were fired across the room they were in.
  • Can swing his spear so fast he spins like a wheel while being able to move.

Durability[]

  • Can effortlessly shrug off powerful dark magic used by Thales, a bad guy who is on-par with Rhea (more on her below).
  • Tanked magic a direct hit from Agnea’s Arrow by Lorenz.
  • Is 2-0 on tanking attempted murder via tiny daggers. If you think that’s a joke, bear in mind multiple grown ass men in armor have been killed by exactly that in this very universe.
  • Survived the fiery destruction of Hegemon Edelgard.
  • Can take blows from giant monsters and robots.
  • More than capable of withstanding magic meteors to the face, as well as all sorts of lightning, fire, and assorted elemental stuff.

Skills[]

  • Defeated Hegemon Edelgard, Claude, Thales, Hubert, Cornelia, Randolph, several Demonic Beasts.
  • Single-handedly wiped out Imperial units for 5 years.
  • Slayed large Black Beasts single-handedly
  • Fought off entire armies for three days before collapsing from exhaustion.
  • Became a fantastic king to Faerghus.
  • Successfully fought off both Edelgard and Claude’s armies at the same time.
  • Considered the strongest man in all of Faerghus.
  • Won the Battle of Eagle and Lion and Skirmish at Gronder Field in the Azure Moon route.
  • Master Tactician Claude didn’t think he could beat Dimitri in a fair fight.
  • Defended Garreg Mach from the Imperial Army until Byleth fell down a cliff.

Weaknesses[]

  • Even after regaining most of his sanity, Dimitri is still a broken man with great self-hatred and a desire to die. This can cause him to be overly reckless in fights, not worrying about his own safety which has resulted in his death in at least two routes of Three Houses (maybe three but Silver Snow is weird).
  • He can also be completely irrational during times of rage, often scaring his own allies in the process. Though he’s been able to mostly move past this thanks to the help of his friends and Byleth, he’s still walking the road to redemption.
  • As well as this, all of Dimitri’s weapons, even Areadbhar, will break in battle if used for too long, and will break even quicker through the use of Weapon Skills. Though Areadbhar doesn’t traditionally “break”, it just requires a period of rest before it can be used again.

Trivia[]

  • He appeared in season 10 of the popular web series DEATH BATTLE! where he fought against Guts and won.
