• Malleable Clay-Like Body: Clayface's body is made of of thick, mud-like material. He can change shape at will into a variety of forms. He can even take the shape of animals.

  • Density Control: Clayface can make his body as hard as rock in order to smash through cars or doors, but can also maintain a liquid form to suffocate opponents.
  • Regeneration:
  • Superhuman Strength: When Clayface's mass is increased so is his strength. The bigger he gets, the more dangerous he becomes.
  • Superhuman Durability: When shifting the density of his body Clayface can withstand bullets and heavy impacts.
  • Superhuman Stamina:
  • Absorption: Gained from Sondra Fuller's blood, Basil is capable of increasing his strength and size by absorbing others into himself, and also capable of gaining unique properties of different minerals or clay via absorbing them them into his body as well.
  • Power Replication: Clayface can mimic someone's body right down to their DNA, copying their abilities.
  • Poisonous Touch: Clayface has shown no evidence of possessing this power anymore after his long underground captivity.
  • Corrosive/Deadly Touch: Aside from mimicking someone, Clayface's touch can kill and absorb people the moment he gets them in his grip.
  • Bio-Fission: If a piece of Clayface is separated from the whole, it can grow a mind of its own and attach itself to a new human host, such as when a piece of him turned Peter Malley into Claything.

Weaknesses

• Extreme Cold or Heat: Extreme Cold or Heat is good at turning his body's fluidity into solid, allowing him to be temporarily subdued. Heat up to 1,000 degrees Celsius to his clay core undermines his basic cellular structure.
• Powerful Sonics: Sufficiently powerful sonics is able to disrupt his metabolism.
• Water: Water can melt down his body structure.
• People that he has absorbed is able to be removed through certain poisonous gases.
• PTSD/Crowbars: Crowbars are able to trigger PTSD within him, making him blind with rage.
